Tomatoes, Potatoes and Teaching Things

An English teacher, baker, candlestick maker - trying to make it work farming in the country and teaching in the city.

When I'm not prematurely graying, writing lesson plans, and tending the vegetables, I drink hot tea, run, constantly trim back the privet, and pet the cat. I also have problems accepting that fictional characters are not real.

So I agreed to ‘fix’ the district unit….and it has a ton of problems, as I suspected. I’ll be doing nothing but this until Monday.

As I was going through the beginning of the unit, which is over American Romanticism (1840-1855), the original author listed Thomas Jefferson’s “Commission of Merriwether Lewis” as one of the text. I ah-humbugged about this for a second, and then the Mr. turned to me and said:

"Well, in their defense, People magazine did vote Thomas Jefferson ‘Most Romantic President.’”

I LOVE THIS MAN.

That’s all :)
