A first year English teacher at a high poverty school - trying to make it work while doing my part to change education (and loving it all in the process).
When I'm not prematurely graying, coaching and writing lesson plans, I read too much fanfiction, drink too much hot tea, and pet the cat. I also have problems accepting that fictional characters are not real.

The Recovery School District (RSD) has issued its 2012 Equity Report, which uses data verified by schools and the state to measure traits that make a great school truly great. The report indicates how RSD Schools in New Orleans are performing across a key set of measurements focused on both excellence and equity. It also indicates performance in the context of how other schools within the RSD and the state are performing.
