Teaching Towards Tomorrow
A first year English teacher at a high poverty school - trying to make it work while doing my part to change education (and loving it all in the process).
When I'm not prematurely graying, coaching and writing lesson plans, I read too much fanfiction, drink too much hot tea, and pet the cat. I also have problems accepting that fictional characters are not real.

- Read a page.
- Shake my damn head.
- Sit in disbelief that someone thought this was good.
- Check the internet to clear up my head.
- Finish reading paper.
- Craft a long letter to the student (average of 400 words) where I try to find something to praise and yet ultimately tell them why this is not good.
- Shake my head. They won’t even take the time to read my letter.
- Start again.
